TrackIR 5, glitching up, flickering mid game.

Hey guys,


Just build a new rig, and I remember having this problem before, I don't remember how I solved it, but in all of my games, trackIR flickers.

For example if I'm playing IL2, I'll be looking to the right, then TrackIR will flicker "the little green light" and it's as if I was head banging in game because of this.

When looking at the camera view, within the TrackIR software, are the tracking points centered?

Any other tracking points in the camerta view?

Device connected directly to the PC, or using a hub?

I'm going to pick up where this guy left off, as I'm currently having this problem. My track IR is brand new, just got it 2 days ago. I'm currently using the hat clip, my Pro clip is still on it's way.

Camera view tracking points are centered.
No other tracking points in the camera view.
Device is connected directly to a usb port in the back of the PC.

Any help would be appreciated.

edit: I should also note that I have all the blinds closed when I'm flying/using Track IR so there's not a huge abundance of light coming into the room that would possibly foul things up.

I think I have the same problem. I have a lot of unexpected moments when the camera goes mad or upside down. The left hand green light flickers and I am off into the roof of the cockpit, looking backwards, inverted etc. I re-centre and await the next moment. Bad in a flight sim and disaster on a race track.

I have played around for hours positioning the equipment but no luck. Wonder where else to start. When new I didn't have the problem so it is a fault that has developed.

Try setting the heads up display in the TrackIR software to camera view (right click on the grid and select your view). Check to see that the dots from the TrackClip or TrackClip Pro stay green at all times and don't intersect. If you have a spot in your normal range of motion where the dots turn green, this represents an area where the tracking has become obscured. You will need to adjust your clip or camera to ensure that the dots stay green at all times.

If there is no adjustment that can be made with the camera, you can adjust the individual axes to make them more or less sensitive to say, pitch upwards or yaw left, so you don't have to move as far to get the desired motion in game.

I'd definately try the camera adjustment first if your profiles are set the way you like them.
