trackable disappears..why?

Hello,
I defined a trackable and it is correctely tracked, but when I place it on the ground and none move it I get a strange behavior: every a certain random number of seconds it disappears for a moment, i.e. it is not tracked.

What is the reason of this?

I did the calibration perfectly and the trackable is actually tracked...why there is this loss of information at a random amount of seconds?
