Windows xp doesn't recognize Trackir 5 camera

Hello,

I have a Trackir 5 and my problem is Windows xp didn't detect trackir 5 camera. I install software version 5.1.3 -Final and then plug the camera to computer main unit free USB-port. Operating system should start install device but nothing happen. I try install several times and also older software version (Version 4.1.038 - Final) but same result. I have tried to manual troubleshoot instructions, but they are not helped.

When I read installlog.txt file, there reads 8 errors, Error=0 and Error=183. Those errors came when installer try to install and update usb drives.

Can anybody help me, where might be malfunction?

Let's try to troubleshoot this a bit. Try uninstalling the TrackIR software, then deleting the following directory:

c:\program files\naturalpoint

Once it's deleted, reboot, then try installing the software again. It would also help to ensure you are logged on as a local administrator.

I already made those procedures and it not helped.Yesterday I tried to install trackir 5 software my laptop computer and there is same problem. After installation I plug to the camera my laptop and operating system didn't recognize trackir 5 device. And there I found also same installlog.txt file, where reads same errors.

My own laptop computer OS is Windows 7 ultimate 32bit finnish language version. Both of my computers have equiped with ATI display adapters. Is there any reason?

Email support@naturalpoint.com and I will reply with a zipped TrackIR directory. Decompress it to your program files directory, then try to manually install the drivers through the device manager.
