help selecting the '@' key

on the keyboard the @ symbol is situated on the top numeric row on the '2' key but my mum has tried everything to select the '@' symbol with no luck including locking the shift button first and it keeps still typing '2'!

How do we select @?? Help pretty please!!

Are you using the click n type keyboard or the windows on screen keyboard?

the on screen keyboard that came with the smartnav software!

Can you create other characters that require shift, such as !, #, $, %, et. cetera?
