Re: Using Active Camera? Read Here.

I've never done any testing with it myself. I'll see if I can find some info..... Just resurrecting this thread from a week ago. Still no word and I can't seem to find anyone in the flightsim world who can actually verify if Spot/External pilot view with the TrackIR (in tandem with Active Camera) a...

Re: FS9 and spot view

OK, using Active Camera, is different than using the TrackIR in the normal spot Plane View, and 2d cockpits within FS2004. With the stock software, it is not possible, with Active Camera that is another story, as I believe that is still running in the 3d cockpit mode, but from different ponts of vi...

Re: FS9 and spot view

I'm not aware of any way to enable the TrackIR outside of the VC in FS2004. Whoa. Now I'm really confused. This directly contradicts what you said in this thread: http://forum.naturalpoint.com/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=6751&an=0&page=0&vc=1 In Spot plane view Active Camera 2004 and ...

Vincent:

Much obliged for this. I'd really love to know if all this is, indeed, possible.

Thanks again for all your help.

Re: Using Active Camera? Read Here.

In Spot plane view Active Camera 2004 and TrackIR are working perfectly together. The same can be said for external pilot view (easy to pan with TrackIR and walk with the number pad keys). I still do not understand this and cannot get it to work. I started a thread some months ago regarding this an...

Re: FS9, TrackIR, a question, and a heap of gratitude

A setting within the Active Camera control panel? I don't think we're on the same page here. You see, in Flight Simulator 2004, Active Camera is "active" so long as its DLL file resides in the /Modules subfolder of the root FS9 folder. There isn't any additional checkbox or radio button t...

Re: FS9, TrackIR, a question, and a heap of gratitude

You have the head latency turned off? and Active Camera active in the spot plane view? Vincent: Indeed, head latency is turned completely off. When you ask if Active Camera is "active in the spot plane view", what do you mean? I am in Spot Plane view. How do I know AC is active in that vi...

Re: FS9, TrackIR, a question, and a heap of gratitude

OK, in FS9 (FS2004) the ability to use the TrackIR in spot view isn't enabled. This function, or feature, wasn't added until FSX. In other words, it only works in VC mode. Vincent: Hate to dig up this old thread, but I just noticed something on the NaturalPoint webpage for FS2004 support which rela...

FS9, TrackIR, a question, and a heap of gratitude

<t>First off, I received my TIR4Pro for Xmas and I'm hating it due to all the internal shame it's causing me: I'm completely ashamed that I was an idiot before and didn't order one sooner. I'm an avid flightsimmer and -- even though I never get bored with MS Flight Simulator -- the TIR has completel...
