Updating to FSX kills FS2004 use in latest alphas
Re: Updating to FSX kills FS2004 use in latest alphas
I am not sure if I am doing something wrong but I just picked up my FSX Deluxe copy....updated TIR4 to the Alpha 2 and still cannot get TIR to work in FSX. Is there something I have to turn on in the FSX?
Re: Updating to FSX kills FS2004 use in latest alphas
We are currently working with the release copy of FSX, and should have working drivers shortly.
The drivers we currently have listed, will only work with the beta version of FSX.

Tried Alpha 3. Still, FS9 is "dead".
FSX retail final is working 100% right now. Before, with alpha 2, both versions were "dead".
Please, Im the only one that lost FS9 when FSX support was added to the drivers?????
Help!

I have a legal copy too, but I use a No-CD .exe. Anyway, Ive been using the same No-CD on ALL my TIRs (1, 2, 3 and 4) and never had a problem. Those alpha are really annoying me....

I've also installed the no-cd patch, and am currently running the Alpha 3 drivers. I've been unable to reproduce the issue with FS9.
Could I get a full list of all your add-on software currently installed on FS9, any software running in the background (anti-virus, spam blocker, etc.), and system type and hardware.

Re: Updating to FSX kills FS2004 use in latest alp
I have 3 installations of FS2004 on my computer:
Username A FS2004 original installation
FS2004 second installation for Golden Wings
Username B FS2004 third installation
TrackIR4 working for all three installations until I installed FSX under Username A. After FSX installation and update to version 4.1.029 alpha 3, TrackIR4 stopped working in FS2004 second installation for Golden Wings under Username A.
Renamed my Flight Simulator 9 folders under Username A and Username B, then fresh installation of FS2004 under Username A.
TrackIR4 works in FSX and in the new installation of FS2004. TrackIR4 still not working in FS2004 second installation for Golden Wings under Username A.
Renamed my original FS2004 under Username A and Username B back to Flight Simulator 9 and TrackIR4 working in both.
When I insert FS2004 disk and select "Run", it runs FS2004 second installation for Golden Wings under Username A.
My guess is that the installation of FSX causes something to disable TrackIR4 in the default FS2004. Installing FS2004 again after FSX is tedious but it works.
