I've taken a bit of a break from this issue as real life gets in the way. I've re-installed the software, and then put the hardware in. I shut down, what applications I could see were on. But there are probably some still humming away in the background. It is still not working. I get the green LED on, but it is not recognising CFS3. I did get it working by shutting down the Logitech setpoint software. Now it doesn't. As mentioned before the only differences I can think off is that I replaced my old monitor for a new Acer one and upgraded my Norton Internet Security to 2008.

Could the Norton software be blocking the TRackIR software?

Hi Vincent, sorry for dredging up an old thread, but thought you'd like to know that yes the culprit was Norton. Removed after I had other probs with the beast and installed nice and cuddly AVG and bingo back on ops with TrackIR.
