Extremely Erratic Movements

So im trying to setup my TrackIr Pro for Lock On and I get really erratic movements. For example I'll turn my head to the left and my head becomes inverted and looks behind me to the right, Ive tried repositioning my clip, turning it upside down, moving around the camera adjusting sensitivity nothing seems to be working. Any expert opinions?

I am running on XP SP3 camera is sitting on top of my LCD on the let side. I can set up Yaw and Pitch to work jsut fine, its everything else that totally freaks out on me, any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.

Looking at the tracking screen, you see on tyhe 3 green dots, from the trackclip pro, no red?

Centered on the tracking screen?

Longer leg on the bottom, left side of the headet?

Have you selected TrackClip Pro, in the different profiles, instead of vector (flight, combat flight, etc.)?

There is no red, it is centered on the tracking screen, there are only 2 tracking options, Vector and Dot. My version says 4.1 build 28.

I've had this thing for about an year and a half now and it's never really been a big deal I just used Pitch and Yaw. Then I saw some vids and they were tuned perfectly and I started wondering what was wrong so I started messin around with settings and I cant figure out how to get teh performance right.


UPDATE: I rechecked the settings and leaned into the screen to test the Z axis and as I leaned in I noticed that small red dots would flicker in the tracking screen, not around the camera, around the edges of the tracking dots. could it be from the monitor? all lights are off its toally dark except for the monitor lol.

Are you using the metal clip, or the TrackClip pro, on the left side of your headset?

TrackClip Pro on the left side yes

OK, if you are using the TrackClip Pro, then you need to update the software. The 4.1.028 software is not designed to be used with the TrackClip Pro.


Remove the TrackIR software by doing the following:
a. Click "Start"
b. Click on the "Control Panel"
c. Click "Add/Remove Programs"
d. Find "TrackIR" and click "Change/Remove"
e. Once launched it will give the option to completely remove it.
f. Delete the NaturalPoint folder at the following location, C:\Program Files\NaturalPoint
g. Download and reinstall the software from the following location (4.1.036),

Once installed, enter the different profiles, and select TrackClip Pro, instead of Vector
