Hello
For a couple of months now, I'm running into this very annoying problem:
Running Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, TrackIR 5 randomly freezes when paused or when not detecting the TrackClip.
The software is completely frozen en unresponsive. It will not unpause (or pause when this happens with the unit unpaused) and it will not track anything. The LED's on the device also don't change status.
The only way I've been able to get it to respond again, is to quit the TrackIR application completely (the LEDs STILL don't change),
and restart it again (now the LEDs change again, and the unit starts tracking again). But since MFSFS2024 doens't trigger detection in TrackIR 5 when it's already running, I'm left to complete the flight without TrackIR.
This is extremely annoying and sometimes leaves me with a completely unusable camera position in game.
Is there a known fix for this problem? I'd love to get this solved!

Re: TrackIR 5 Freezes
Hi Tyrion,
Is your TrackIR connected directly to a USB port on your motherboard? We do not recommend using USB hubs or extenders. You may also need to modify your computer's settings to ensure that the computer isn't turning off power to the USB port:
1. Right click on the start menu and select Device Manager.
2. Locate Universal Serial Bus controllers.
3. For each item in this list with the word “hub” in its name, double click on the item and go to the Power Management tab.
4. Uncheck the option “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power” and press OK.
5. Repeat for all USB hub devices.
6. Restart the computer.
If that didn't resolve the issue, follow these steps
1. Open Control Panel and navigate to Control Panel
2. Select All Control Panel Items
3. Open Power Options.
4. Click "Change plan settings."
5. Click "Change advanced power settings."
6. Find USB settings > USB selective suspend setting in the list, and ensure that it is set to disabled.
7. Press OK and reboot your computer.
Kind Regards,
