This is the first time I have had this problem. I had my Trackir for over a year and a half now. Three days ago, it just started to be an Unknown Device in the Device Manager. When I start up the program, it no longer ask me to run as administrator, but before, it use to. The red LEDs on my trackclip pro still work.
If I haven't provided enough information, then please just ask for more,
Thank you,
WS.

Re: Trackir 5 Unknown Device in Device Manager.
Hello,
Not having to run the software as an administrator was done intentionally. It was part of the 5.2.2 to 5.3 update.
Did it work with 5.4.1 for a while and then stop working? What happens if you move it to another USB port?
Regards,

Re: Trackir 5 Unknown Device in Device Manager.
I am having the same issue. I actually got my Track IR yesterday and it worked fine.
-I have the latest software and have reinstalled it the way that is recommended in the manual.
-I have updated all of my 'Universal Serial Bus Controllers' in my device mangers.
-I have tried all of my USB ports
-I have had Windows try to update the drivers by having it search my computer and the internet for a driver update and came back with nothing.
Just like the OP the red LEDs on the clip are working.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
p.s. I am using Windows 10 64 bit

Re: Trackir 5 Unknown Device in Device Manager.
Hello,
It seems that Windows updates are kicking out the drivers for some users. If you go into the device manager you should be able to right-click on the unknown device and update the driver software. Instead of having Windows look for a solution itself, please select the browse my computer option. The default location for the drivers is C:\Program Files (x86)\NaturalPoint\USB Drivers x64\npusbio_x64. If the drivers are not in that location, please reach out to me at help.naturalpoint.com and we will get you what you need.

I followed the instructions of your post "Sun Apr 10, 2016 12:54 pm" Windows found the driver at that location, but can not be installed, find a problem. Only gives me a option button, "close".
need help.
Tanks in advance

Armin Tanzarian,
Please start a ticket with me at help.naturalpoint.com. This may take a little more work than the standard problem. I'd be more than happy to dig into this for you.
