I'm upgrading from a TIR to a TIR Pro 3. I have the latest software and drivers set up and working great. Can I simply unplug the old unit and plug in the new one? Or would you suggest I reinstall the software as well?

I had the same thing happen. Had to uninstall then reinstall 3.03 .
