Re: Optitrack cameras and humidity

Thanks for the reply, my worries are more about the lens in the cameras rather than the electronics, but when I think about it there's bound to be a few people like us with their mocap studio in the basement since it's a very suitable place for it (humidity aside).

<t>Hello, I was wondering how resistent if any are optitrack cameras when it comes to humidity.<br/> <br/> We got our studio setup in a basement which is a bit humid, we've been using dehumidifiers and silica gel bags to get the humidity down, but I was wondering how much more do I have to worry abo...

Re: Using captures in maya

fbx sounds very good, in the meantime we'll use 3D studio and export to maya as FBX.

Thanks

Re: Using captures in maya

I'm unable to import bvh or c3d into maya, says Unrecognized file type, so does that mean I can't use maya?

Re: 8 Camera setup: height of lower cameras? Pointing?

<t>Hi, I'm looking for a new space to move my company and I want to get a perfect space for my mocap studio, so I was wondering what's the most optimum height for a 24 camera setup, since the diagrams don't show that.<br/> <br/> 8' seems to be a bit too low, what if I want to capture someone jumping...

new to mocap, potential stupid question...

<t>I've been doing some captures with my 8 camera setup, so far so good with that. The question is if I have to act out the character's proportions as I'm doing the capture?, say my character has a huge belly and I want to walk with the hands on the waist, do I have to walk with my hands where the w...

Re: Can't calibrate my setup

<r>Cool I think I finally got how this thing works, it's actually pretty straight forward once you get the basics, I've never done any sort of image processing and I'm a programer not an artist so sorry if some of my questions had obvious answers. Thanks for all the help, I'm quite happy now <E>:-)<...
